South Okanagan Immigrant & Community Service

The South Okanagan Immigrant & Community Services (SOICS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to building a welcoming and inclusive community. The organization provides a range of free services to all immigrants and other groups, including settlement and employment related services in the South Okanagan region in British Columbia for over 45 years. SOICS partners with Project Welcome in matching internationally trained professionals immigrating to Canada with mentors in their field who live and work in the South Okanagan region. CEDC Thunder Bay

Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission is an arms-length Community Development Corporation tasked to be the primary independent Economic Development Agency for the City of Thunder Bay, ON with a mission to grow and diversify the region’s economy. The organization is involved in many immigration-related projects such as The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). Thunder Bay CEDC partners with Project Welcome in matching internationally trained professionals immigrating to Canada with mentors in their field who live and work in the Thunder Bay region. YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce

The YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce to match pre-arrival immigrants with mentors in their occupation in the region. The YMCA has been serving this community since 1877, enriching the lives of people of all ages. The organization works to build strong kids, strong families and strong communities throughout Grey and Bruce counties. To do this they offer opportunities for personal development in many program areas: Health, Fitness, Aquatics and Recreation, Child Care, Community and Justice Programs, Settlement Services, Housing Support and Employment Services. The Saint John Newcomers Centre

The Saint John Multicultural Newcomers Resource Centre inc., commonly known as The Saint John Newcomers Centre (SJNC), is a non-profit, non-political, and non-religious organization. Founded in 2009, the purpose of the SJNC is to improve the cultural, social, and economic well-being of citizens and newcomers of all backgrounds to Greater Saint John and to promote equality for all cultural groups. Project Welcome is a Service Delivery Improvement project funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and delivered to pre-arrival internationally experienced professionals who want to connect to work opportunities in smaller communities across Canada. IRCC facilitates the arrival of immigrants, provides protection to refugees, and offers programming to help newcomers settle in Canada.
