How it Works
Project Welcome partners connect immigrating professionals with established Canadian professionals in their field in a small community in Canada. Through mentorship, immigrating professionals have the opportunity to prepare for a job search and receive labour market information tailored to their specific industry.
Volunteering in our Project Welcome e-mentoring program gives you the opportunity to help an immigrating professional prepare for and build their career in Canada, while exploring settlement options outside of the large cities.
Share your passion, knowledge and experience with a newcomer or immigrating professionals, and develop resume-worthy leadership and communication skills at the same time.
Our online platform makes it easy for mentors and mentees to connect through a private discussion board.
Steps
Mentors fill out a registration form on Project Welcome.
Applications are reviewed by a Mentoring Coach.
The coach matches the mentor with a mentee and introduces them.
The mentor and mentee communicate online via the Project Welcome platform.
